First John Four.

“We love, because he first loved us.” – Nineteen.

This is technically a pre-warmup to the next part of this blog, guess it helps to bring a bit of understanding behind why God sees us as special.

Fam this is basically part 2 why are you over-doing it

The true essence of someone finding you special stems from the simple yet complicated word. Love.

Ell oh vee eee.

Now I’m not talking about that bend your back and then dig it kind of love. It’s that brand new P, Mr FT, telling you how God loves me.

So I’m scrolling through my Bible app and there’s a section in 1 John 4 titled: Knowing God through Love.

He who does not love does not know God, for God is Love. – Eight.

Pastor Russ Newkirk exposes a common saying amongst Christians. In which we say ‘God is love, rather than Love is God’.

WhY iS aN ‘aLl-lOvINg GOd’ making me go through this struggle? 

We’ve tried and we’re still trying to put the love of God next to our own high expectations of what love is. Comparisons.

So if love nowadays is 30 billion for my account-io, heartfelt DM’s, or being ‘promoted’ by peers then it’s not what God’s love is. I’ve been looking at it the wrong way.

“You don’t define love first and say God, ‘you have to be that’. God defines love, love doesn’t define him.”

And it’s probably why I find it difficult to truly love others, specifically those that have handed me those fresh L’s. 

I see the bible and it says love one another, but I’m defining my love based on what the world tells me. When really Florence has been singing that only God has the love I need to see me through. 🙌🏾

God doesn’t need to be what you want him to be. We just need to let him be who he already is.

Ah yeah! Perfect! 💥💥🔥

But it’s like Holy Ghost 🔥 in the booth, you’re just the Avelino of the congregation who can just feel the spirit fill you up with a contoxion of guilt, yet also confiddy for the rest of the day.

To know God is NOT to know OF him, but to know… him. Me knowing God through a minister or even if I minister isn’t enough, the education side of faith is a fruit, and the RELATIONSHIP is the tree.

I could pick up a fruit from the ground from another tree, or I can grow it (educate) myself.

I could study the bible and know every verse and scripture but I can still not love the sister who left me on read .

I could name a donny at work or uni, I know their name, surname, know where they live, know what they like, how often they go church, heck I might even know who they’re dating. Yet I would’ve never spoken to them in my life, let alone have a conversation.

But you know my man though?

“In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. – Nine

A remixed version of John 3:16. But in this case it focuses on the stage after God has removed our sins and offered us eternal life with him.

God (The Father) is the source, Jesus is the example.

God used his son to point out his love for us. Not that Jesus should align with us but we should align with him. If you think Messi was a world changer, look up the real reason of the term Messiah. He’s the originator. *d double e ad-lib*

I’ll save a more deeper look into salvation for another post because a bit like blogging – it’s a process.

My God loved me so much that he sacrificed his own son, can I even sacrifice my iPhone password? 📱

“In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” – Ten

God didn’t send Jesus to die for us because we loved him, he did it because he loved us.

The definition of propitiation is to appease. Then I thought, that awfully sounds like please. So I asked google what the difference between ‘appease’ and ‘please’ is: 🔬🔭🔎

Please is to satisfy, make good on something or someone. Appease is to calm, reduce and dispel. 

So now I see why appease is the word that was represented more than please.

Because when God sacrificed his son he did not do it to please us. He wasn’t trying to level up like Ciara to reach our levels of appreciation. He came to make our lives easier.

“If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.” – Fifteen

By acknowledging what Love actually is and its proof through the blood of Jesus, the promise of verse Nine becomes fulfilled. Again it’s amazing how ‘God lives in them’ comes before ‘and they in God’. We have allow God to flow in us before we can truly flow with God and our faith.

It’s not a rat race to love God, our relationship with him should never compete with someone else, whether it’s someone you look up to or it’s someone you may even look down upon. God loves everyone, but his love for you is not for anyone else.

It’s an A and B conversation and if you’re not either, you gotta C your own A & B conversation. Take a CAB to where he is and understand why he’s special to you.

And take a CRB on your faith too ahh I've killed it...

And in my heart I cursed you, but you set me free.

So the ledge Lecrae says this in his song with the unbelievably talented Mali-Music called ‘Tell the World’. He raps about his transition from being a sinner, to witnessing God’s glory in his life and and basically, telling the world about it 🥁.

God should be your first love, but we didn’t love him first. 

Anyone else noticed how it's gone from what the world tells me to telling the world?

Deep down I’ve been mad at God, frustrated to the point I’ve downright cursed him, Anger. Lost my temper. Sakura Haruno. Manga.

But God sets me free. The price was paid already. I don’t deserve it. But even before the L was formed, I was still loved. So I’m not afraid to go MAJOR and say This is why I Love God, because he loved me.

There was this other lyric I heard that went like this: “You want to be the one, but you’re not the first”, and I was like rah this is kind of mad still. #crepesandcones

I sorta spun this now to my faith rather than a crush or a potential lover. I want to be the one to define what love is, what God is. But the first and real definition is with the Most High.

And now I see that.
